Thank you for a successful Virtual Apple Symposium 2020!

Speakers from the Apple Tree Project 2020 Symposium include Dr. Katharine Suding, Dr. Todd Little-Siebold, and Amelia Brackett Hogstad.

Last Friday, we had a wonderful gathering of students, researchers, community members, and apple enthusiasts gather via zoom for our second Apple Symposium. Thank you to Todd Little-Siebold, Katharine Suding, and Amelia Brackett Hogstad for sharing your research and apple insights with us! Students from the University of Colorado EBIO 1250 class presented posters in a gallery focusing on the research conducted in Fall 2020. The student gallery link can be found HERE and we encourage you to leave comments of questions in the speaker notes section of each poster slide.

Below are a series of short videos that our EBIO 1250 students created to practice communicating science with others outside of the classroom. The students focused on one of three biochemistry topics: 1) How do trees grow?; 2) Why do trees change color in the fall?; or, 3) How do trees avoid sun damage? We hope that you will enjoy these short videos and possibly learn something new!
